Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Varanasi Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admission to Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, is conducted mainly through national-level entrance examinations. Candidates seeking admission to MBBS, MD, MS, and super-specialty courses must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the concerned authorities and participate in the centralised counselling process.

For MBBS admission, students must qualify the NEET UG examination conducted at the national level. Admission is granted based on NEET score, merit rank, seat availability, and counseling conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) or competent authority.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS, MD/MS and DM/MCh

Admission process for MBBS:

1. Appear and qualify in NEET-UG exam conducted by NTA.
2. Register on the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) official website.
3. Fill choices and lock Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University,  as preference.
4. Participate in All India Deemed University Counselling conducted by MCC.
5. Seat allotment based on NEET-UG rank, category, and availability.
6. Download allotment letter and report to the college for document verification and fee payment.
7. Complete admission formalities and join the course.

Admission process for MD/MS & Super Specialty:

• Qualify NEET-PG / NEET-SS.
• Participate in MCC PG / SS Counselling.
• Seat allotment and reporting to the institute.
