Internship and placement at MES Medical College: Recent data shows median salary for UG (MBBS) graduates who take up jobs is around INR 7 to 10 LPA. For PG (MD/MS) courses, it is higher, around INR 15 to 20 LPA. A good number of students prefer higher studies over immediate jobs. The attached hospital often helps by absorbing some interns and residents internally.

Internship: Every MBBS student must do one year of Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) right after the final year exams. This internship happens entirely at the attached MES hospital. Students rotate through all major departments like Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Community Medicine and others. The college provides free hostel accommodation during this period.

For the academic year 2025-26, the college pays interns around INR 16,000 per month as a stipend (in addition to the state government component of INR 27,300). Many students say they receive between INR 12,000 and INR 15,000 as the college portion in practice. The internship gives strong hands-on clinical training in a busy multispeciality hospital.
