IIM Shillong provides various courses like MBA, Executive MBA, MBA for working executives, PhD, and PhD for working professionals. MBA program accepts CAT scores, followed by a GD and PI. The Executive MBA program accepts CAT or GMAT scores for admission.
To get admission into MBA for working executives, CAT, GMAT, or WE-MAT scores are considered. The candidates will be selected for the PhD program based on their profile, CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ GATE / JRF (UGC/CSIR) scores.
Steps to follow ;
- Check Eligibility: Ensure you meet the academic qualifications, subject requirements, and entrance exam criteria (CAT/IPMAT/GMAT).
- Appear for Entrance Exam: Take the required test — CAT for MBA or IPMAT for Integrated Program.
- Register Online: Visit the IIM Shillong website, fill out the online application form, and pay the application fee.
- Upload Documents: Submit scanned copies of mark sheets, ID proof, photo, signature, and category certificate if applicable.
- Shortlisting: Applicants are shortlisted based on entrance exam score, academic record, and profile.

IIM Shillong provides scholarships to candidates through the provision of need-based scholarships for students with family incomes less than Rs. 6 lakhs, and Merit-cum-Means (MCM) scholarships from the Government of India. SC/ST students can apply for specific government scholarships. The State Bank of India provides education loans up to Rs. 40 lakhs with a lower interest rate under the merit loan scheme, and other banks also offer competitive loan options. The institute offers these scholarships to MBA students belonging to economically weak families.
