MBBS Admission 2027: College-Wise Application Dates & Deadlines

MBBS admission for the 2027-29 academic session has already started through various top medical colleges in India. There are two important aspects that candidates have to track separately. Appearing for the entrance test does not guarantee that the college application will be automatically submitted. Several institutions have separate forms and deadlines.

As of September 28, 2026, several major applications, including AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER Chandigarh and AFMC, are currently open, while applications for other institutions will open in the coming months. Since deadlines are subject to change, it is recommended that you verify the last date on the respective institute's website.

• Entrance Test Examination
• Selection Process

Final Offer for Admission

One of the main things to keep in mind is that college application forms have different deadlines. For example, PGIMER's last date is September 30, while AFMC's last date is July 28. This means that the applicant cannot apply to all the colleges until the entrance test

Final Takeaway

For the 2027-29 MBBS admission cycle, candidates should immediately pay attention to AFMC (July 28), PGIMER (September 30), JIPMER (July 27), AIIMS/CAT (November 26). Application to other colleges such as CVR Medical College, Sahyadri Medical College, ESIC Medical College, Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences and SRM Institute of Medical Sciences, etc., are expected to open later in the admission cycle.

Since the 2027 admission calendar is still being announced in phases, dates marked "expected" are not final. Candidates should check the notification of the respective institution before submitting the application form.
