Amrapali University Haldwani Admission Process

Amrapali university follows a merit-based admission process with provisions for entrance tests where required. Admissions are strictly governed by guidelines from UGC, AICTE, PCI, NCTE, and the Uttarakhand state government. The process is simple, transparent, and available in both online and offline modes. The university also conducts the Amrapali University Scholarship Eligibility Test (AUSET), which serves as a gateway for merit-based scholarshipsand helps in the admission process.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • B.Tech: Minimum 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one additional subject (as per AICTE norms). JEE Main score is preferred/considered.

  • BCA / BBA / B.Com (Hons.): Minimum 40%–50% marks in 10+2 (any stream). Some programmes require 45% aggregate.

  • BHM / BHMCT / BTTM: Minimum 45%–50% marks in 10+2 (any stream). 40% for reserved category.

  • B.Pharm: Minimum 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics (PCB/PCM/PCMB).

  • B.Ed / Other UG: As per NCTE/UGC norms. Students appearing in Class 12th exams can apply provisionally and must meet eligibility after results.

  • MBA: Graduation with 50% + valid score in CAT/MAT or university test.

  • MCA / M.Tech: Relevant bachelor's degree with 50% marks.

  • M.Pharm / M.Com / M.Ed: As per PCI/NCTE norms.

Amrapali University has a dedicated Placement & Industry Interaction Cell (PIIC), also known as the Central Training and Placement Department (CTPD). It functions as a centralized body that works in coordination with all faculties and deans to support students in career planning, skill development, and securing employment opportunities.

The cell is divided into two main sections:

  • One handles engineering & technology, computer applications, commerce & business management, and pharmacy programmes.

  • The other focuses specifically on hospitality and catering programmes.

Objectives: The Centralised Training & Placement Department (CTPD) aims to coordinate with the respective faculty to help students clarify their career goals, acquire technical and generic skills, and ultimately become job-ready, converting desired employment opportunities into placement offers.

Vision: To create a niche environment for excellence in training, placement and career orientation and assist students in identifying, developing, evaluating and achieving their career goals.

Students Eligibility: The students who have minimum attendance of 75% in both theory and practical in every semester are eligible to sit in the campus interviews. Students below the 75% attendance need to take necessary approvals from Dean of the Institute but any student below 75% attendance will not be eligible for registration with PIIC in any case. Similarly, attendance in PDP & Employability Training programmes organized by Training & Placement Department should also be 75%. Any failure towards the same will require approval from AU Management Board to be able to participate in PIIC activities.

FEMALE SCHOLARSHIP

A 10% scholarship is provided to all female candidates (across all programmes) on the net tuition fee.

DEFENCE & PARAMILITARY SCHOLARSHIP

For our defence personnel of India, the university is providing 10% on the net tuition fee for all candidates who are wards of defence personnel. This category covers current ex-servicemen or martyrs from the Home Guard, police, para-police, fire police, defence forces, and paramilitary.

PROGRESSIVE SCHOLARSHIP

To ease out the process of obtaining degrees higher than graduation, the university provides a progressive scholarship of 10% on the net tuition fee for all candidates who have attained a UG degree from AGI / AU.

ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

Amrapali has a rich legacy of alumni over the past years. in order to give value to them, the university will be providing a scholarship of 10% on the net tuition fee for all the referrals received by AGI alumni.

JOURNALIST SCHOLARSHIP

This initiative is designed to value the journalists of our nation. The university is providing a scholarship of 10% on the net tuition fee for all the candidates who are wards of journalists/media.
