The Training and Placement Office of CIEM has the core objective of providing maximum training and placement opportunities to the students, keeping in view the ever changing dynamics of the industry. Enhancing the employability of the students, bridging the industry – academic gap and providing maximum placement opportunities are the responsibilities that the office executes. In AY 2023-24, several cutting edge training programmes have been provided and at least twenty pooled campus drives have been organised. In the coming days, the office will augment the said opportunities by further leveraging ties with industrial resources.

• To conduct training programs to enhance the communication skills and develop inter-personal skills of students.
• To organize seminar, training programmes and work-shops for students so as to help students to learn latest technologies
• To conduct mock tests, interviews, Group Discussions for students.
• To arrange campus-interviews by inviting leading companies to recruit students.

There are very few major scholarships offered by CIEM. Rather, the university mainly helps to arrange government as well as other outside scholarships and keeps the fees affordable for all students. Students are required to tick all the eligibility requirements if they want to avail the scholarship benefits.

Available Scholarships:

• Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means (SVMCM) Scholarship – Up to Rs. 60,000 per year. Eligibility criteria to be 60% marks and annual income of the family below INR 3 Lakh.
• Government Scholarships – Post-Matric Scholarships, Merit-Cum-Means, Tuition Fee Waiver as per rules of West Bengal Government.
• Incentive for Meritorious Students – Few fee waivers or scholarships are provided to meritorious students through WBJEE/JEE Main or university level examinations.
• Other Scholarships from outside – Scholarships offered by NSP Portal, Kanyashree for female students, and other scholarship programs.
