Admission to Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia is strictly entrance-based. For the 5-year BA LL.B. (Hons.) programme, candidates must have passed Class 12 with minimum 50% marks. Admission is done through Jamia’s own Entrance Test followed by counselling. The university does not accept CLAT scores.
For LL.M. programme, candidates having LL.B. degree with at least 50% marks are eligible. Selection is based on JMI Entrance Exam and interview. The entire application process is online through the official admission portal. Selected candidates are required to appear for document verification and pay the fees to confirm their admission.
BA LL.B. (Hons.) 5-Year Integrated Programme
Eligibility Criteria:
Passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.
Minimum 50% aggregate marks in core subjects and English combined.
No upper age limit.
Candidates appearing in Class 12 can apply provisionally.
Selection Process: Admission is based on the JMI Entrance Exam (University’s own test) followed by counselling.
Seats: Approx. 120 (including self-financed seats).
LL.M. Programme (2 Years)
Eligibility: LL.B. (3-year or 5-year) with minimum 50% marks (aggregate).
Specializations: Corporate Law, Criminal Law, Personal Law (regular + self-financed).
Selection Process: JMI Entrance Exam + Interview (qualifying marks required in the written test).
