To apply for admissions at IIT BHU, Varanasi, it is important to fulfill eligibility criteria. For the UG programme, students must have cleared class 10th and 12th with aggregate 60% marks in related subjects from recognised boards of education. For the PG Programme, students must hold a 3 year Bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks in related fields from a recognised board of University.

IIT BHU Varanasi Placement
The Training and Placement office of IIT BHU Varanasi facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the Institute. The placement season runs through the course of the year commencing through the last week of July to March. Institute also conducts pre placement talks as per mutual convenience. IIT BHU Varanasi Scholarships
IIT (BHU) Varanasi offers scholarship schemes to encourage study and financially help children who are not financially in a good state. To avail these programmes, students must fulfill eligibility criteria.
- It offers Merit-cum-Means scholarships to 25% undergraduate students. Besides, there are several endowment scholarships offered by the Institute. Some other facilities are also provided to the undergraduate students in the form of Institute free studentship, scholarship, reimbursement of mess charges and pocket allowances to the students belonging to the SCs and STs.
- All the non sponsored students admitted to M.Tech./M.Pharm programs are provided financial Assistance which is equivalent to the Junior Research Fellowships.
- The Institute also offers a large number of Junior/Senior Research Fellowships to students admitted to Ph.D. programs.
