Admission process 2026 below:-
- Students applying for admission must clear the entrance exams before registering for admission at IIT Ropar.
- B.Tech admission, students must clear the JEE Advanced exam after qualifying the JEE Main exam with valid scores, and must attend the JoSAA Counselling.
- M.Tech admission, students must clear the GATE exam with valid scores and must attend a personal interview. Students must attend the COAP Counselling.
- Students can register for admission to the chosen program after the results of the relevant entrance exam are out.
- Students must upload the documents and a valid score card.
- Selected students will be informed by the institute and will need to pay the academic fee for completion of the admission.
Eligibility criteria:-
- B.Tech (Specialisation): Students must clear the 12th board with 75% aggregate marks and physics, chemistry, and mathematics are the mandatory subjects. Moreover, students must qualify for JEE Advanced and JoSAA Counselling.
- M.Tech: Students must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree with 60% percentile and 55% for reserved category students. Moreover, students must qualify for GATE and COAP Counselling.
- PhD: Students must hold a master’s degree in M.Tech./M.E./M.Sc./MBA/MA/M.B.B.S./B.Tech./B.E. with 60% marks. Moreover, students must qualify for GATE, CSIR/UGC-NET, DST-INSPIRE, or JEST.
