- Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate (UG) courses to get admission at IIT Hyderabad, Programmes provided in UG courses, you need to have a 10+2 certificate with a minimum 50% of marks for reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC), and they have 5% relaxation for aggregate marks.
- Eligibility Criteria for postgraduate (PG) courses to get admission in IIT Hyderabad for MBA programmes, candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree of a minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with at least 50% marks at the graduation level. The final year students can also apply for admission, but they have to clear their graduation before admission.
Steps to apply,
- Visit the Official Website: Go to https://www.iith.ac.in and open the “Admissions” section.
- Choose Your Program: Select the course you wish to apply for (B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Des, or Ph.D).
- Check Eligibility & Entrance Exam: Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria and have appeared for the required entrance exam (JEE Advanced / GATE / JAM / CEED / NET).
- Register Online: Create an account on the respective admission or exam portal and fill in all required details carefully.
- Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, mark sheets, and other necessary documents.
- Pay the Application Fee: Complete payment through the online mode (credit/debit card or net banking).
- Submit the Application Form: Review all details and submit the form online.
- Counselling / Interview: Participate in the counselling (for UG/PG) or interview process (for Ph.D/M.Des) as per the institute’s schedule.
- Final Admission: Upon selection, verify your documents and pay the admission fee to confirm your seat at IIT Hyderabad.

IIT Hyderabad placements 2024: Total of 493 students were placed, and 43 international offers were made. Highest package given was INR 90 LPA, and the average package received was INR 22.5 LPA. For the MSc and MTech programs, the highest package stood at INR 58 LPA. A total of 521 offers were made by 320 companies. BTech, MTech, and PhD program placement rate was 86.67%, 76.47% and 100%, respectively.

- He started with the Artificial Intelligence placement report, which showed the highest package of INR 51.06 LPA and an average package of INR 31.99 LPA
- After that, he explained the Computer Science Engineering placement report, which had the highest package of INR 90 LPA in 2024.
Indian Institutes of Technology- IIT Hyderabad Scholarships
The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad scholarships vary from merit to means. There are various scholarship schemes offered by the government/ state governments. Eligible students can avail any one of these by applying through the National Scholarship Portal. IITH also accepts scholarships offered by the government/state governments. Candidates applying for institute scholarships can write an email to the Acads office of IITH, whereas candidates who are applying for scholarships offered by the government/ state government have to apply through the National Scholarship Portal.
The institute also supports students attending international conferences by covering associated costs. Education loans are available through the State Bank of India, with interest rates varying based on parental income. The IIT Hyderabad fee structure is approximately 1 lakh INR per semester for tuition, with total annual costs around 3 lakh INR, including hostel and mess fees.
Note: IITH offers means-cum-merit scholarships to GEN, GEN-EWS/ OBC students and ST/ SC scholarships at the institute level.
