- Students must qualify for entrance exams such as IMU-CET, OPEN-NET, and Internal tests.
- Students are required to pay the application fee.
- Some programs require a Pre Screening Test (PST) and an interview, and selected students must attend that.
- Selected students must pass the medical and eyesight tests.

- B.Tech in Marine Engineering- Candidate must have passed 12th with 60% aggregate marks, and PCM are the mandatory subjects.
- Diploma in Nautical Science- Candidate must have a diploma in Mechanical/Marine Engineering with 60%.
- B.Tech in Marine Engineering (Lateral)- Candidate must have passed 12th with 60% aggregate marks, and PCM are the mandatory subjects.
- Graduate Marine Engineering- Candidate must have a BE/B.Tech (Mech./Naval Architecture) with 50% aggregate marks.
