Jyothy Institute of Technology is known to have an efficient and dynamic Training & Placement Cell which helps bridge the gap between the institute and the industry. It is chaired by Mr. Akhilesh S Narayan, who oversees all activities related to placements at JIT. Training and Preparation is one of its core components, and the cell provides holistic training to students via aptitude test preparation, technical classes, group discussion rounds, interview preparations, and personality development sessions. 

The most prominent recruiters who often come to campus for placements and internships are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, IBM, Tata Elxsi, Virtusa, NTT Data, and so forth. It conducts several campus recruitment drives every year including exclusive and pooled drives. It develops contacts with prominent firms in order to provide better placements to the students.

It also assists students to get into internships, especially in their pre-final and final year. These could be unpaid and paid internships, industry projects and internships, which also result in PPOs.
