To get admission in Hinduja College, students have to fulfill eligibility criteria as it is mandatory. Eligibility criteria differs depending on the course and it is given below:
- B.A (MMC)/B.Com/BBM/BMS/BCA - A candidate for being eligible for admission to these programs must have passed the Std. XII examination, of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent, with minimum 45%, from the Arts, Science or Commerce stream as required by the College.
- BBA: Candidate must pass 12th Std. in any stream from any recognised board. They must also have cleared the entrance exam, MAH BBA CET.
- M.A/ M.Com/M.A (CJ): Candidates must be a Graduate from any Discipline. Some programmes in M.A, and M.Com will require a written test.
- Ph.D: Postgraduation in any stream and entrance test conducted by the Mumbai University.

- Selection Process: Shortlist + University Written Test + Personal Interview/Group Discussion

The Hinduja College has an active Training & Placement Cell that organizes campus drives, mock interviews, pre placement talks, resume building workshops, guest lectures, and industry interactions. It focuses. It operates professionally with a dedicated team of faculty coordinators, placement officers, and student committee. It heavily focuses on commerce, banking, finance, insurance management and IT streams.
The college may not touch the list of top colleges with placement but it offers decent and consistent placements with good value for money, with lower program fees as compared to other Universities and Institutions. The Hinduja College is supported by the Hinduja Foundation and Smt. P.D. Hinduja Trust. It offers a mix of merit based prizes, government scholarships & freeships, and need based aid. Total money distributed annually exceeds more than 7 lacs. These are aimed at recognising academic excellence, extracurricular, sports, and supporting EWS students. The college is concerned with helping eligible students especially those students who are from reserved categories and EWS.
- Hinduja Foundation Scholarships - These are the flagship awards renewed yearly and cover a wide range of achievements like Academic toppers, Best NCC Cadet, Best Student Organiser, Best Athlete, Merit list holders, and others. It is of one year term and is renewable based on continued performance.
