The Training and Placement Cell organises a number of training programmes for the students of all semesters with the help of in-house experts and resource personnel drawn from professional agencies. The activities have proved exceptionally useful in shaping the careers of students.

The objective of the Training & Placement Department is to equip students with globally employable skills through training and to help them attain their desired employment and career goals.

The Cell is devoted to catering to the needs of the organisations in conducting campus interviews for placements. Interactions with organisations are regularly done for placement requirements. The placement cell also conducts career guidance workshops for the final- and pre-final-year students to face their future with confidence.

Functions:

• To be the mentor of students to frame their careers.

• To enable placements for all students participating in the process.

• To maintain strong relationships with recruiters and corporate bodies.

• To strive to enhance the number of companies visiting PEC to recruit on campus.

• To increase the number of offers from recruiting companies.

• To manage a streamlined placement process, taking care of the interests of students, recruiters and the college.

PEC offers tuition fee concessions to students who have excellent academic performance in qualifying exams (such as high marks in 10+2 or entrance tests). These scholarships can include partial waivers and cash awards to encourage academic excellence.

Need‑Based Aid

Students from economically weaker sections with family income below a specified threshold may receive fee concessions ranging from 25% up to 100% depending on eligibility. Applications must be supported by income certificates and other required documents.

Category and Government Scholarships:

• State Government Fee Reimbursement: Students from categories like SC/ST/OBC/EWS can apply through the Andhra Pradesh government scholarship portals for reimbursement of tuition fees and hostels.

• National Scholarship Portal Schemes: SC/ST/OBC/minority students can apply through central government schemes to receive financial aid during their studies.

Sports and Extracurricular Scholarships:

Students who have attained state‑ or national‑level sports achievements can receive scholarships that include fee waivers and monthly stipends, as recognition for their performance outside academics.

Girl Child and Special Scholarships:

Female students with strong academic records may be eligible for girl‑child scholarships providing tuition fee concessions. Some students can also benefit from Pragati or similar support schemes aimed at empowering women in technical education.

Government & Central Scholarships

• Central Sector Scheme (CSS): For meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds.
