Ramaiah Institute of Technology has a department of Placement & Training Cell, which was established as a separate entity in the year 1997. The cell presently coordinates with many leading organizations which recruits Engineers/Technocrafts and GET/ PGET's for entry-level positions in their respective organisations. In the year of its inception, the department modestly established contact with about 47 organisations and placed 172 students. With every passing year, the number of recruiting organizations have increased in geometric progression, on average, about 250 nationally renowned organizations visiting the campus annually to conduct their recruitment process on our campus. For the 2016 batch, 1892 offers have been made by 378 companies/organisations. 

Today, Ramaiah Institute of Technology is one of the preferred academic institutions for a large number of organizations for recruiting our graduates. The biggest names in the corporate world visit the campus regularly, with enviable recruitment offers. There is tremendous competition amongst companies to visit the campus to recruit the best talent of the institution. Ramaiah Institute of Technology has been the traditional recruitment target for many organisations.

Deserving students at Ramaiah Institue of Technology can avail several scholarships which are awarded by the Government of Karnataka. Here is a list of the scholarships and the corresponding applications that can be obtained from the Admission and Scholarship section during the month of September every year. It also facilitates external scholarships (government, corporate, alumni, NGO) rather than offering many direct institute-funded full waivers. Direct college support is limited such as sports cash awards and merit-cum-means facilitation). Most benefits come via Karnataka state schemes (SSP/Karepass/ePASS for eligible categories), national portals, or external sponsors.
