School of Liberal Studies Gandhinagar Admission Process
To apply for admission in the School of Liberal Studies (SLS), students are required to fulfil some eligibility criteria as mentioned below:
- For UG Courses: Students must pass in 10+2 pre-qualifying from a recognised board in any stream with a minimum aggregate marks to be 60% atleast in the required subjects.
- For PG Courses: Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a UGC-recognised university with a minimum passing marks to be 50% from a recognised University board.
- Selection Criteria: SLS PDEU Entrance Test or SAT India score + Creative Writing Test + Personal Interview (PI)
- Accepted Exams: SLS PDEU Entrance Test, SAT
How to Apply online:
- Visit the official admissions portal: https://admission.pdeu.ac.in/sls.html (or https://pdeu.ac.in/admissions) and click "Apply Now".
- Register with your name, mobile, and email, and verify via OTP.
- Fill the online application form with personal and academic details, and upload documents (marksheets, photo, etc.).
- Select program/branch and choose entrance mode (SLS PDEU Test or SAT).
- Pay the non-refundable application fee (₹1,200 for UG; ₹700 for PG) online.
- Submit the form and download the confirmation.
- Appear for the entrance test (if chosen)/submit SOP (for PG), followed by PI.
- Check merit list/results on the portal; confirm admission by paying fees if selected.
School of Liberal Studies Gandhinagar Placement
The SLS has a Career Development Cell that handles all the career-related activities such as placements, skill training, internships, resume building, mock interviews, career counselling, and industry interactions. SLS graduates will have multiple career options. While it is expected that some students may opt for postgraduate courses after graduating from SLS, others will pursue entrepreneurial ventures, and the rest can expect a professional career in various fields. Its Career Development Cell operates at the University level and supports SLS students alongside other schools.
Its key activities include:
- Training Programs, workshops, seminars, aptitude tests, and group discussions. Training is given for mock interviews, soft skill development, resume building and personality enhancement sessions.
- It curates mandatory structured Internship opportunities for practical exposure, and organises hands-on experience in relevant fields like policy, media, business, and consulting.
- It facilitates on-campus and off-campus placement drives, does job profiling, schedules interviews, and makes announcements. It also prepares a mock exam based on the employability training.
- It organises expert talks, guest lectures, industry visits, profiling/assessment, career planning guidance, and more.
