Admission Process at St. John's Medical College, Bangalore Admission to the MBBS course (150 seats) is strictly based on NEET-UG 2026 scores followed by centralized counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
MBBS Admission Process (2026-27)
Step-by-Step Process:
Qualify in NEET-UG 2026 with the required minimum percentile (as per NMC guidelines).
Register online on the KEA website (kea.kar.nic.in) for Karnataka UG NEET Counselling. Pay the registration fee and upload all required documents.
Participate in KEA counselling rounds (Option Entry, Seat Allotment, and Document Verification).
Report to the college for final admission, fee payment, and document verification after seat allotment.
Important Points:
St. John's is a Christian Minority institution, so seats are allotted under different categories such as All India General Open Merit, Roman Catholic Christians (various sub-categories like Karnataka Christians, SC/ST Christians, Nuns/Priests, etc.), and Institutional Staff Quota. There is no separate NRI/Management Quota with high donation fees. All seats are filled only through KEA counselling. Candidates must execute a 2-year rural service bond after completing the internship.
Minimum age: 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.
Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English (minimum 50% aggregate for General, 40% for reserved categories).
PG (MD/MS) Admission Process
