The Karnataka 2nd PUC Exams 2026 (Exam-1/Main exams) commenced today, February 28, 2026, with the Kannada and Arabic papers. These board exams, conducted by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB), run from February 28 to March 17, 2026, in the morning session.

Today's Exam: Kannada Paper (February 28, 2026)

  • The Kannada paper was held from 10:15 AM to 1:30 PM (some sources note 10:00 AM start, but official timing is 10:15 AM – 1:30 PM).

  • Paper Analysis (based on initial student/expert feedback and live updates): The paper followed the expected pattern with balanced coverage of prose, poetry, grammar, and comprehension. It was moderate in difficulty-neither too easy nor overly tough-with emphasis on textbook-based questions, essay-type answers, and language usage. Many students found the grammar and unseen passage sections straightforward, while literature portions required good recall and interpretation. Unofficial answer keys and detailed solutions are emerging on education portals, official ones will follow post-exam. Passing requires at least 30% overall (reduced from previous years: 24/80 in theory + internal assessment).

Stay tuned to reliable sources like Shiksha, Careers360, or GetMyUni for evolving student reactions, difficulty levels, and unofficial keys as the day progresses.
