XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level MBA entrance exam conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur (on behalf of XAMI) for admission to MBA / PGDM programs.

Eligibility Criteria- Must have a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (or equivalent) from a recognized university. Final-year students (graduating by ~June 2026) are eligible. There’s generally no minimum percentage requirement for the exam itself — but individual colleges may have their own criteria.
 

Registration Process (Step-by-Step)

  1. Go to the official XAT site → xatonline.in
  2. Click on “Register” and sign up with your email and mobile number.
  3. Log in using the credentials you receive (via email).
  4. Fill in personal details, academic history, and work experience (if any).
  5. Choose the XLRI programmes you want to apply to, and select your test city preferences. 
  6. Upload scanned documents: photograph and signature (follow the specified format). 
  7. Preview all your details carefully.
  8. Pay the application fee (online).
  9. Submit the form and download/print the confirmation / e-receipt.

 

Documents Required

  1. Recent passport-size photograph (scanned) 
  2. Signature scan in specified format 
  3. Academic certificates / mark sheets (graduation / school)
  4. Identity proof (Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID etc.)
