Eligibility Requirements: Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com) or a Master’s degree from a university recognised by Dibrugarh University. Minimum Marks for general category are at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree (either Bachelor’s or Master’s). Science/Maths specialisation: Candidates with a B.E./B. Tech degree with specialisation in Science & Mathematics require 55% marks. Aggregate Criteria, candidate has 50% marks in Honours/Major subject but less than 50% in overall aggregate, they are not eligible, aggregate score is compulsory.
- Relaxation in Eligibility: Reserved Categories, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD categories can get a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks. Teachers with at least 5 years of teaching experience in schools recognised up to the 10th standard can also get 5% relaxation. Each candidate can claim only one type of relaxation.
- Entrance Exam Requirement: B.Ed Common Entrance Test (B.Ed CET), All applicants must appear in the B.Ed CET conducted by Dibrugarh University for that admission cycle. Admission is based on a combined score from B.Ed CET score (maximum 70 marks) and Academic/Career Performance (maximum 30 marks), which includes performance in HSLC, H.S., and Bachelor’s/Master’s degrees.
- Merit & Reservation: Merit List final admission lists are prepared using the total marks from the entrance test and career scoring. Reservation Categories statutory reservation is given as per Government and University norms (SC, ST, OBC, etc.).
