Madhab Choudhury College Admission Process

Admission Overview

Admissions are merit-based and follow Gauhati University / Government of Assam guidelines. The process includes online registration, merit list publishing, document verification, and final admission on schedule.

 

Application Mode

Students must apply online via the college’s admission portal: www.mccollegeonline.co.in. After submission, the college publishes merit lists with selected candidates’ names. Documents Required at Admission at the time of reporting for admission, candidates must bring original + photocopies of online application printout, HS/12th marksheet & certificate, Caste Certificate (if applicable), Gap Certificate (if applicable), Ration Card / Income Certificate, and Passport-size photos.

 

Undergraduate (UG) Admission

General Eligibility applicants must have passed H.S./12th or equivalent exam from a recognised board. Admission is mainly merit-based according to marks in the qualifying examination. Specific Course Criteria BA / BSc / BCA Admission is done based on merit list published, and admission is granted accordingly. Postgraduate (PG) Admission. MA in Assamese admission is on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the college’s department, whose total Seats 20. MSc in Botany admission depends on departmental entrance test or as decided by Gauhati University.

 

Merit & Reservation

Merit lists are published, and admission is provided to eligible candidates based on ranking. Government reservation policies (SC/ST/OBC/PH, etc.) are followed at the time of admission (as per Assam Govt rules). UG & HS Admissions usually start in June July after HS results are declared. PG Admissions are conducted as per Gauhati University calendar (often around July–August).
