National Institute of Technology Admission Process

To get admission in NIT Trichy, students are required to fulfill eligibility criteria as mentioned by the institute. Requirements are given below:

B.Tech: Students must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
M.Tech: Students must hold B.E/B.Tech in relevant discipline or equivalent
MBA: Students must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline
MSc: Students must hold BSc degree with relevant major subjects
PhD: Students must hold a master’s degree in relevant discipline

Selection Criteria: Entrance exam+Counselling/PI

Accepted Exams: JEE Main (B.Tech), GATE (M.Tech), IIT JAM (M.Sc), CAT/CMAT (MBA)

How to Apply:

Appear for the relevant national entrance exam.
Register on the respective centralised counselling portal.
Log in to the portal, fill in your preferred programs and select NIT Trichy as one of the choices.
Participate in all counselling rounds, including special rounds if seats remain vacant.
Accept the allotted seat and pay the seat acceptance fee online.
After seat allotment, go to the NIT Trichy admission portal, log in with the allotted credentials, and complete online registration.
Fill personal and academic details, upload a scanned document and pay the admission fee online.
Download the provisional admission letter.
Report to the institute on the scheduled date with original documents for verification, hostel allotment, medical check-up, and final fee payment if required.
