CLAT 2026 Counselling: Second Seat allotment list released at the official website

CLAT 2026 second seat allotment list (also called the Second Provisional Allotment List or Second Merit List) has been released today, January 22, 2026, by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs).

 

This list covers provisional seat allotments for both:

  • 5-Year Integrated UG Law Programme (BA LLB etc.)
  • LL.M. (PG) Programme

Allotments are published NLU-wise (institute-specific PDFs), including details like candidate roll numbers, All India Ranks (AIR), categories, and reservation quotas. For example:

Key next steps for allotted candidates:

  • Confirmation fee payment and admission formalities (for Freeze/Float options): From January 22, 2026, to January 29, 2026 (up to 1:00 PM).
  • Candidates must log in to the CLAT portal (via registered mobile number and password) to check personal allotment status, exercise Freeze (accept current seat), Float (accept but seek upgrade in next round), or Exit options.
  • The process includes 5 rounds in total; the third allotment list is scheduled for February 5, 2026 (at 10:00 AM).

  1. Visit https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/
  2. Go to the CLAT 2026 section → Notifications or directly to /clat-2026/second-list.html
  3. Click on the relevant UG or PG allotment links/PDFs for your preferred NLU.
  4. Search for your roll number or name in the PDFs.
  5. For personalised status: Log in to the candidate portal.
