Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level management entrance exam conducted annually by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission into MBA/PGP programs across IIMs and many top B-schools in India. CAT examination is basically an online computer-based test that evaluates applicants on Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). The exam runs in three slots on a single day, typically in November each year.
