JEE Main 2026 Answer Key (OUT) LIVE Updates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the provisional answer key and recorded response sheets for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 (January attempt) on February 4, 2026. The answer key challenge window is currently open and will close today, February 6, 2026, at 11:50 PM.

 

Current Status (as of February 6, 2026)

  • Provisional Answer Key: Released (available for download)
  • Response Sheet: Released (individual recorded responses)
  • Challenge Window: Active → Closes today at 11:50 PM
  • Fee per Challenge: ₹200 (non-refundable, paid online)
  • Final Answer Key & Result: Expected by February 12, 2026 (NTA has confirmed result declaration by this date; final key usually released shortly before or along with results)

How to Download Provisional Answer Key & Response Sheet

  1. Visit the official website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/
  2. Click on the link: “Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key” or “Display of Provisional Answer Keys and Recorded Response Sheet”
  3. Log in using your Application Number and Date of BirthPassword
  4. Download your response sheet (shows your marked answers) and provisional answer key
  5. Save/print for reference

How to Raise Objections (Challenge Process)

  1. Log in to the portal (link above)
  2. Select the question(s) you want to challenge
  3. Upload supporting proof/document (if required)
  4. Pay ₹200 per challenged question (online payment)
  5. Submit before 11:50 PM today
    • Only valid, evidence-based challenges are considered
    • NTA reviews all challenges → final key prepared accordingly

What Happens Next?

  • After the challenge window closes, NTA will review objections
  • Final answer key will be published (no further challenges allowed)
  • JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result (percentile scores, category ranks) will be declared by February 12, 2026
  • Result link: Same portal (jeemain.nta.nic.in) → login with application number & DOB/password
  • Note: All India Rank (AIR) for counselling is prepared after Session 2 results
