The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for NEET UG 2026 candidates to submit their bank account details for the examination fee refund till June 22, 2026 (11:50 PM).
Background
The NEET UG 2026 exam, originally held on May 3, 2026, faced serious controversies including paper leak allegations and other irregularities. As a result, the NTA cancelled the exam and announced a re-examination (Re-NEET) scheduled for June 21, 2026.
To support affected candidates, the NTA decided to refund the full application fee to all registered candidates. The refund portal opened on May 22, 2026. Initially, the last date was set for May 27, 2026. However, due to overwhelming response and requests from students, the NTA extended the facility.
As of May 28, 2026, nearly 13 lakh candidates have already submitted their bank details. The extension aims to give more time to the remaining students.
