Kunming Medical University Kunming City Admission 2026- Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admission for the international MBBS program is merit-based and follows MOE guidelines. It is primarily online.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age: Typically 17/18-25/30 years.

• Academic Qualification: Senior high school (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

• Minimum Marks: Around 60-70% in PCB (varies; check latest). NEET is qualified for Indians.

• Good physical and mental health.

• English proficiency (often not mandatory if prior education in English).

Application Process:

1. Complete online application via the KMU International Student Portal.

2. Upload scanned documents: passport, academic transcripts/diplomas (notarised), NEET scorecard, English test (if applicable), physical examination form, recommendation letters (for PG), study plan, financial proof (for self-funded), etc.

3. Pay any application fee (if applicable).

4. Application review by the university; possible online interview (Skype/WeChat).

5. Successful applicants receive an Admission Letter and a JW202 Form.

6. Apply for an X1 student visa at the Chinese embassy/consulate.

7. Register in person on campus (typically September intake; check for spring/preparatory options).
