University of Kent Admission Process

Admission at University of Kent is tough, emphasising academic aptitude, personal statement, and suitability of courses. Kent attracts a broad range of applicants, including international and mature students.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Undergraduate: Normally offers BBB-A*AA in A-Level exams (or equivalent, for example, 30-34 in IB). Sometimes specific subjects required (for example, Maths in some Science degrees). English language requirement: IELTS 6.0-6.5.
  • Postgraduate: 2:1 or 2:2 Honours degree (or equivalent) in the appropriate subject area. Experience may be useful in some courses.
  • Contextual offers possible for eligible applicants from the UK.

Application Procedure:

  • Undergraduate: Application through UCAS (max. 5 programmes) with personal statement and reference.
