AIIMS New Delhi Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

The registration process for admission to AIIMS, New Delhi (primarily for popular courses like MBBS and other UG/PG programs) follows a structured, entrance-based system as of 2026. AIIMS no longer conducts separate entrance exams for most courses; admissions rely on national-level tests managed by NTA or AIIMS-specific portals.

For MBBS: 

• Appear for NEET-UG (mandatory for all candidates, including Indian nationals, OCI/PIO, and limited foreign nationals).
• Fill the online form with personal/academic details, upload documents (photo, signature, ID proof, marksheets). 
• Pay the fee (INR 1,000 for general, INR 500-INR 1,700 for reserved categories).
• Qualify NEET with required percentile/rank high cutoff for AIIMS Delhi, often top ranks.
• After NEET results, register for MCC counselling Medical Counselling Committee for All India Quota seats, including AIIMS. 
• Choose preferences (AIIMS New Delhi as top choice), participate in rounds (multiple including mop-up), get seat allotment based on rank/category/reservation (15% SC, 7.5% ST, 27% OBC, 10% EWS, 5% PwD horizontal, plus limited foreign seats).
• Report to AIIMS Delhi with documents (NEET scorecard/admit card, Class 10/12 certificates, category proof if applicable, photos) for verification, fee payment (very low, around INR 1,600-6,000 total for course), and joining formalities. Session usually starts August.

For PG courses (MD/MS/MDS, DM/MCh):

• Qualify INI-CET (conducted by AIIMS New Delhi. 
• Register on the AIIMS exams portal, complete One Time Registration (OTR) if needed (personal details, age verification 18+), apply for INI-CET, pay fee, appear for exam.
