Army Institute of Management- AIM Kolkata Admission Process

Admission Process at Army Institute of Management (AIM), Kolkata (for the flagship MBA 2-year full-time program is merit-based, with priority given to wards of serving/ex-Army personnel, ex-Navy/Air Force, and war widows. Remaining seats are open to general category candidates. The process relies primarily on national entrance exams and includes GD/PI.

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university (recognized by AIU/UGC).
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in graduation (relaxations may apply for reserved categories/Army wards as per AWES norms).
  • Final-year students can apply provisionally (must complete degree by June 30, 2026, with proof).
  • Valid entrance exam score required.
  • Intake: 120 seats (with priority for Army wards).

  • CAT (primary and mandatory for most admissions; CAT 2025 scores accepted for 2026-28 batch).
  • JEMAT (West Bengal Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test) considered only if seats remain vacant after CAT applications (candidates need valid JEMAT 2026 rank card and allotment from MAKAUT for direct admission).
