BITS School of Management- BITSoM Thane Admission Process
- Selection Criteria for the MBA program. It is mandatory for candidates to provide valid CAT/GMAT/GMAT Focus/GRE scores to complete their application. Round 1/Round 2 applicants can submit their application by availing the option of ‘updating test scores later’. However, all such candidates must update their respective scores by 31st March 2026, failing which their application will be disqualified.
- Educational Qualification- To be eligible to apply to BITSoM, a student must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university before the start date of the desired intake year. Students completing their undergraduate degree in the summer of 2026 are also eligible to apply.
- Entrance Exam Score- Applicants must have a valid score in CAT / GMAT / GRE.
- Academic Performance- Consistent academic record in Class 10, 12, and Graduation is preferred.
- Work Experience (Preferred, Not Mandatory)- BITSoM values quality work experience, but freshers can also apply.
- Personal Interview- Shortlisted applicants are required to appear for a personal interview.
- Overall Profile Evaluation- Final selection is based on exam score, academics, work experience, interview performance, and extracurricular achievements.

The BITSoM has a dedicated, professional Industry Partnership and Career Services (IPCS) team which is responsible for all placement-related activities, including building recruiter relationships, preparing students, and facilitating summer internships and final placements. The IPCS team has strong alumni network and strong industry connections that attract top recruiters from diverse sectors such as Consulting, BFSI, FMCG/Retail, Technology, E-Commerce, and others.
The IPCS team provides comprehensive support through its Placement Readiness Programme which works on resume building skills, case study workshops, mock group discussions, and personal interviews. It also organises guest lectures, corporate live projects and industry study treks. The teams provided career guidance too, to help students plan their future. More to this, there is a student-led Placements and Career Services Committee that works closely with the IPCS team.
