DAV College, Amritsar, has an active Placement Cell that organizes campus drives, training sessions, workshops on resume building, interview skills, aptitude tests, and personality development. It invites companies for recruitment, especially for final-year students in BBA, BCA, B.Com, and professional streams.

Key Activities of the Placement Cell:

• Pre-Placement Training & Skill Development Regular workshops and sessions on resume building & cover letter writing, interview techniques & mock interviews, group discussions & aptitude tests, personality development & soft skills, communication skills & body language.
• It provides career Counselling & Guidance Individual and group counselling sessions on career paths, higher education options, competitive exams, entrepreneurship, and job market trends.
• The cell also hosts guest Lectures, Seminars & Workshops Frequent invited talks from industry professionals, alumni, and experts on topics like banking careers, IT opportunities, personality grooming, and current industry requirements.
• Campus Recruitment Drives & Placement Events Organizes and takes care of on-campus selection processes. It also invites companies for pre-placement talks (PPTs) and full recruitment rounds.
• The cell helps students secure internships (often summer or short-term) and provides exposure through industrial visits and practical 

DAV College offers a variety of scholarships and concessions designed to help students and their family for college fees. The financial assistance may take the form of College scholarships, state assistance, or outside scholarships as well.

Merit Scholarships: The college offers a variety of scholarships to meritorious students who performed well in the university/board examinations,  sports and cultural activities. 

Scholarships to Needy: Besides merit scholarships, the college also provides financial assistance to the weaker sections of society. The needy students can apply for the scholarship and appear in the personal interview to avail the benefits.

Post Matric Scholarship: Scholarships under the Government of India Post-Matric Scheme are also available to Scheduled Castes/Tribes students who are settled in the Punjab State and are pursuing the post Matriculation studies.
