The Training and Placement Cell at Jadavpur University coordinates with campus placements for the Faculty of Engineering & Technology. It facilitates drives with 100 organizations annually, organizes training sessions, which includes mock interviews, group discussions, and aptitude tests. The placement cell also manages internship policies. Placements are centralized but oftenoften supported by department-specific student-led cells, The cell focuses on maintaining good relationships with recruiters. 

The placement cell focuses on final year students and aims at their employment enhancement. As per reports, the average placement package offered to students at the recent placement drive is INR 12 LPA and the highest placement package offered is INR 85 LPA.  It works on bridging the gap between the students and recruiters as well as assisting both parties in conducting a smooth and hassle-free placement drive. It works round the year except during examinations and mentioned holidays. 

Faculty Council of Engineering & Technology believes that no student should discontinue studies due to a lack of funds and offers a scholarship to help deserving students. To avail the scholarship benefits, students must fulfill eligibility criteria as required. Some of them are automatically considered at the time of admission and some of them can be applied for online via state portals. Renewal of scholarship is based on academic performance. 

There are many in-house scholarships as well as external scholarship benefits available for students, such as University freeships, Endowment Scholarships, Swami Vivekanand Scholarship, Post-Matric Scholarship, etc.
