At Government Medical College, there is no separate placement cell like in engineering or management colleges. After completing the MBBS course, students undertake a compulsory one-year rotating internship at the attached GMC Hospital, where they receive a monthly stipend of around INR 18,000. Most graduates either join government health services as medical officers or prepare for NEET-PG for postgraduate studies. A few students also opt for jobs in private hospitals. Since it is a government medical college, the focus remains on clinical training and government job opportunities rather than campus placements.

Internship: Every MBBS student has to complete a one-year compulsory rotating internship at the attached GMC Hospital. During this period, students get practical training in all major departments. Interns receive a monthly stipend of approximately INR18,000.

Placement: This is a government medical college, so there is no formal placement cell or campus placements like in engineering colleges. After completing MBBS and an internship, most students either:

• Join the government service as Medical Officers,

• Prepare for NEET-PG to pursue MD/MS,

• Or work in private hospitals.
