IIIT Bangalore Bangalore Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Before filling out the application form need to read the prospectus carefully for the instructions. All the eligibility and entrance exams are given below for the UG and PG courses. Follow the instructions and upload the documents, which should be scanned from the original documents. 

Programs: B.Tech (4 years) or Integrated M.Tech (5 years) in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Data Science & AI, etc.

Eligibility: 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subjects. Minimum aggregate marks: Typically 60% or first class (relaxations for reserved categories as per norms).

Entrance examination- JEE Mains 

Programs: M.Tech in CSE, ECE, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI & DS), (2 years).

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Final-year students expecting to graduate by July 2026 can apply.

Entrance examination- GATE 

Online Application Process to get admission in UG and PG courses at IIIT Bangalore

1. Appear for JEE Main 2026 (Sessions in Jan/Feb and April 2026).
2. Apply separately on IIITB's admissions portal (applications typically open after JEE Main results, around May-June for previous cycles).
3. Pay application fee (INR 1,500, non-refundable).
4. Submit the required documents and JEE Main details.
5. Institute releases merit lists/cutoffs and offers seats.
