IIS (Deemed to be University) has an active and dedicated Training Placement & Counseling Cell which looks in to the overall planning and execution of career guidance, career counselling, and employment opportunities for the students. The cell ensures that representatives from various MNCs and other recognized educational institutions visit the University, not only to apprise the students of the various courses and jobs available but also to select and train them for required job skills as well.   

The Placement cell also organises lecture sessions by experts on career prospects in different fields. It also has connections with various industrial establishments, corporate houses, etc., for organising campus interviews and selecting the students from all disciplines.

The cell arranges campus interviews, summer internships, organize workshops and programmes to enhance their employability skills. They organised workshops on resume writing, mock interviews, participation in group discussion, communication skill etc. It also provides career guidance and counselling sessions on one to one basis and arranges value added industrial/Practical training for the students. Thus the placement cell is more like a ‘Career Services’ unit rather than just for final placements. These activities, a regular feature of the cell and organised throughout the year, are undertaken on the basis of an annual activity schedule designed at the beginning of the academic session.

The IIS University offers a variety of scholarships and financial aid options to encourage and support deserving students. These scholarships are mostly merit-based, need-based, or category-specific and apply to UG, PG, and Ph.D students. 

Most of these scholarships are automatic or merit-linked upon admission, while some requires separate application. Only eligible students can apply for scholarship benefits.
