In 1998, Jesus and Mary College started a Placement Cell for its UG students and it continues to facilitate hassle-free recruitment by establishing an institutionalised mechanism. The Placement Cell of Jesus and Mary College is a professional body incorporated for facilitating the recruitment of the country’s best minds by global corporations. 

It serves as the bridge between the companies and the students and works tirelessly to match the repute and eminence that the college is renowned for.

Primary Objectives of the Placement Cell:

• Industry Interaction: Facilitate interactions between students and industry professionals through guest lectures, workshops, and seminars, providing students with insights into the professional world.
• Internship Opportunities: Arrange internship opportunities for students with reputed companies to give them practical experience and exposure to the industry.
• Career Guidance: Provide career counselling and guidance to students to help them make informed decisions about their career paths.
• Skill Development: Organise workshops and training sessions to enhance students' skills, such as resume writing, interview preparation, and communication skills, making them more employable.
• Job Placement: Assist students in securing job placements by inviting companies to the campus for recruitment drives.
• Alumni Networking: Connect current students with alumni who are working in various industries, allowing them to gain insights and potentially benefit from networking opportunities.
• Maintaining Database: Keep an updated database of student profiles and keep track of their placement status.
• Feedback and Continuous Improvement: Collect feedback from students and companies involved in the placement process and use this feedback to continuously improve the services and offerings of the placement cell.

There are various number of scholarship opportunities available for students at Jesus & Mary Colleges. These scholarships are merit-based and need based. Students may apply for the scholarship benefits at the beginning of the academic year.

List of some of the scholarships offered:

• SHRI JUGAL KISHORE KHANNA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - It is awarded to a deserving catholic student of B.A. (Pass) first year.
• THE SR. FELIX MEMORIAL PRIZE - Awarded to the student who secures the first position in B.A. Degree Examination, Jesus and Mary College Teaching Centre, Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board, University of Delhi. If two or more students secure identical marks, the prize will be divided equally between them.
• THE SMT. KAMALAKSHI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - Awarded to the best among B.A. (Pass) I Year ST/SC student who attends at least 75-80% of tutorials and preceptorial (discussions & written) and secures at least 45% marks in the internal assessment. The scholarship is awarded in the form of a Book Grant for book(s) relevant for study.
• THE MARY ABRAHAM SCHOLARSHIP - The scholarship is awarded in the form of a Book Grant for books relevant to study.
• VISALAKSHMI MENON AWARD - Awarded to the best history student in the B.El.Ed.
• SH. ANAND PRAKASH JOHRI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - The scholarship is awarded to students of B. Sc (Hons.) Mathematics II & III year students who secure the highest marks in B. Sc (Hons.) Mathematics I & II year respectively
