King George Medical University- KGMU Lucknow Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admission to King George’s Medical University (KGMU) is primarily entrance-based and follows national-level medical admission procedures.

Undergraduate Courses (MBBS / BDS)

1. Candidates must qualify the NEET UG conducted at the national level.

2. After the result declaration, candidates must register for state counselling (Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling).

3. Fill in college preferences, including KGMU, during the choice filling process.

4. Seats are allotted based on NEET rank, category, reservation, and availability.

5. Once allotted, candidates must report to KGMU for document verification.

6. Final admission is confirmed after fee payment and medical verification.
   

Postgraduate Courses (MD / MS / MDS)

1. Candidates must qualify the NEET PG (for MD/MS) or NEET MDS (for dental courses).

2. Register for UP State PG Counselling or All India Quota counselling.

3. Select KGMU and preferred specialization during counselling.

4. Seat allotment is based on rank, category, and seat availability.

5. Report to the university for document verification and admission formalities.

6. Pay the required fees to confirm the seat.

Super-Specialty Courses (DM / MCh)

1. Candidates must qualify for the NEET SS examination.

2. Participate in centralized counselling conducted at the national level.

3. Choose KGMU and desired super-specialty branch.

4. Complete document verification and admission procedures after seat allotment.
   

Basic Eligibility Criteria

For MBBS:

• Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English

• Minimum 50% marks (40% for reserved categories)

• Must qualify NEET UG

For MD/MS:

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution

• Completed compulsory internship

• Must qualify NEET PG
