Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology- MAIT New Delhi Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

MAIT follows the centralized admission process of GGSIPU. Admissions are primarily merit-based through entrance exams and university counseling. Key programs include B.Tech (main focus), B.Tech Lateral Entry, BBA, and MBA.  

Eligibility Criteria:

B.Tech (Regular - 4 years): Passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Minimum 55% aggregate marks in PCM (relaxation to 50% or as per GGSIPU norms for reserved categories). Valid JEE Main 2026 score.

Age: Not more than 21 years as on August 1, 2026 (relaxable per rules).

B.Tech Lateral Entry (Direct 2nd Year): 3-year Diploma in relevant engineering branch with minimum 60% aggregate (or as per norms). Valid IPU CET LE score or merit.

MBA (2 years): Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved). Valid CAT/CMAT or GGSIPU CET score.

BBA & BCA: 10+2 with minimum 50% marks. IPU CET score.

Admission Process of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology

Appear in Entrance Exam:

• For B.Tech (regular): Appear in JEE Main 2026 (Paper 1) – primary basis for merit.

• For B.Tech Biotechnology: IPU CET or CUET UG may apply in some cases.

• For MBA: Valid score in CAT/CMAT or GGSIPU CET (Code 101).

• For BBA & BCA: IPU CET (Code 125) or relevant criteria.

Register for GGSIPU Counseling:

• Visit the official GGSIPU admission portal

• Register online, pay the counseling fee around INR 1,200), upload documents, and fill college/course preferences (include MAIT - CET Code 131 for B.Tech).

• Participate in online counseling rounds (multiple rounds, including spot rounds if seats vacant). 

Seat Allotment & Confirmation: Seats allotted based on rank/merit, category (85% Delhi region reserved, 15% outside Delhi), and preferences. 

• Pay seat acceptance/fee (first-year approx. INR 1.86 Lakhs for B.Tech) via e-challan.

• Report to MAIT for document verification, biometric, and final admission. 

Management Quota Seats: After regular counseling, apply directly to MAIT for vacant/management seats (merit-based on qualifying exam or entrance score).

• Check MAIT website for schedule (often August/September). 

Documents Required: JEE Main scorecard, 10+2 marksheets/certificates, category certificate (if applicable), domicile proof, photos, etc.
