Miranda House DU North Delhi Admission Process

The admission process at Miranda House, University of Delhi, is conducted entirely through the centralised admission system of the University of Delhi, ensuring transparency and merit-based selection.

    • Admission to undergraduate programmes requires candidates to have completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board and to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
    • For postgraduate programmes, applicants must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree and appear for CUET-PG, wherever applicable.
    • Since Miranda House is a women-only college, only female candidates are eligible for admission.
    • Candidates must first register and appear for CUET, selecting subjects aligned with their desired course as prescribed by the University of Delhi.
    • After the declaration of CUET results, applicants are required to register on the DU Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal, where they create their profile, upload academic details, and select Miranda House and preferred courses in order of priority.
    • Based on CUET scores, course preferences, category reservations, and seat availability, the University of Delhi conducts multiple rounds of seat allocation through CSAS.
    • If a candidate is allotted a seat at Miranda House, she must accept the seat online within the given deadline.

The college then carries out online or physical document verification to confirm eligibility.

    • Once documents are successfully verified, candidates must pay the admission fee online to finalise their admission.
    • Failure to complete the fee payment within the stipulated time results in cancellation of the allotted seat.
    • After confirmation, students receive official communication regarding orientation, academic schedules, and commencement of classes.

All admissions follow DU reservation policies for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and other supernumerary categories such as sports and ECA, as applicable. Direct or offline admissions are not permitted, and meeting the CUET eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee admission, as selection depends on course-specific cut-offs set by the university.

Steps to Apply at Miranda House, University of Delhi

    • Register and appear for CUET-UG / CUET-PG through the NTA portal.
    • Check CUET results and ensure eligibility for the chosen course.
    • Register on the DU CSAS portal and complete the application form.
    • Select Miranda House and preferred programmes during choice filling.
