The Placement Cell of Motilal Nehru College plays an important role in helping deserving and meritorious students get jobs and internships in the industry, thereby facilitating the launch of their careers. The student representatives of the cell systematically work towards establishing networks and linkages with corporate agencies/ houses and engaging them for placement/recruitment drives in the college. 

The cell also provides dedicated career guidance by apprising the students of the current market scenario, employability in different fields and the requisite skillsets. They also organise workshops on employability and developing interview skills. The cell has had a good record of helping students in finding internships and final placements in leading companies and organisations.

Key Activities of the Placement Cell at Motilal Nehru College:

• It organises placement drives and recruitment events by inviting companies for on-campus interviews and job fairs.
• It provides internship opportunities and shares internship openings, summer/winter internships, and connects students with organisations.
• It also conducts Training & Skill Development Workshops on resume-building workshops, mock interviews, group discussion sessions, communication skills training, and personality development programs.
• It also offers one-on-one or group sessions for career planning, higher studies advice, etc. 

Moti Lal Nehru College offers scholarshi[s based on the results of the senior secondary examination and other criteria. Details are mentioned below:

• The National Merit Scholarship Scheme was introduced bythe  Department of Education in 1961-62. It was available to brilliant but poor students from class XI to Post-Graduation from level. 

  In addition, a Scheme of Scholarship at the Secondary stage for talented children from rural areas was also introduced by the Department of Education in 1971-72. It was available to talented but poor students from rural areas from class VI to class XII. 

  These two Schemes were merged and a single Scheme, namely, the 'National Merit Scholarship Scheme', was established by the Department of Education for implementation from 2005-06. This was available to meritorious students from class IX to Postfor Graduation level. 

  School Education Education has come under a new Department, namely, the Department of School Literacy & Literacy w.e.f. the year 2007-08. The Department of School Education and Scheme'. has introduced a new Scheme: 'National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme. This scheme will cover students from class IX to XII. 

  The Department of Education of higher education has introduced a new scheme for meritorious students from low-income families going to colleges/universities for implementation during the XI Five-Year Plan period with an approved outlay of Rs. 1000 crore. This is a Central sector Students scheme titled Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students.
