Step-by-step guide to securing your seat at MVIT.
For admission in MBIT, students need to fulfill eligibility criteria, which are mentioned below:
- For B.E/B.Tech: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2 or equivalent) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the required subjects, with a minimum aggregate marks to be 45%.
- For M.Tech: Candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant/relevant field with a minimum aggregate 50% marks.
- For MBA: Students must pass a recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised university in any discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- For MCA: Students must passed BCA / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree OR Passed B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduation level.
- Selection Criteria: entrance exam scores + Class 12 marks via centralised counselling
- Accepted Exams: KCET, COMEDK UGET, JEE Main, PGCET, GATE, KMAT, CMAT, etc
How to Apply:
- Decide your quota: KCET (for Karnataka students), COMEDK (for all India, including Delhi), or management quota (direct with college).
- Register yourself using your name, mobile number, email and create an account.
- Fill the online form with your personal details, education marks, category if any, and entrance exam score, if you have one.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents.
- Pay the application/registration fee online using card, net banking or UPI.
- Submit the form and save or print the application number/confirmation page.
- For KCET or COMEDK: Wait for exam date, appear in the test, check results, then fill college & branch choices during counseling rounds.
- For management quota: After submitting the form on college site, wait for college to contact you or check your status on their portal.
- If you get a seat (through allotment or management), visit the college with original documents for verification and pay the admission fee to confirm.

MVIT has a well-established Training and Placement Cell that focuses on grooming students for industry readiness and securing placements. The cell is headed by Prof. S H Khana, who is an experienced HRD Professional.
The training and placement cell is very effectively engaged in developing the students in all the needed skills and placing them in top companies. Students are also informed continuously through seminars and workshops about higher learning opportunities in India and abroad. Right from the fourth semester onwards, regular training is conducted on total personality development and personal grooming of the students. Minimum 35 to 40 top companies visit the college every year, and between 90% to 100% students are placed. The placement covers all branches equally, including non-IT branches, Mechanical, Civil, IEM, Biotechnology, and a good number of non-IT companies also visit the college continuously, along with IT companies.
The Training & Placement Cell of Sir MVIT is fully established, well equipped and very effectively engaged in grooming/shaping the career of the students by inviting top to top companies to college and preparing students through needed soft skills, holistic development of their personality, inculcating the tempo of professionalism and bridging the gap between academic learning & Company expectations to keep the students employable at all the time.
