Rajiv Gandhi Medical College Thane Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

The admission process at RGMC Thane is based on the entrance examination. All the procedures are online. Applicants can apply through the official website with valid documents. 

MBBS (UG) for Admission Process

Step 1: Check eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English; at least 50% marks (40% for reserved categories) and minimum age 17 by 31 December of the admission year.

Step 2: Appear in NEET‑UG: Register and qualify the NEET‑UG exam; MBBS admission is strictly merit‑based on NEET‑UG score.

Step 3: Register for counselling: State‑quota seats (85%) apply via Maharashtra CET‑Cell / DMER‑state‑counselling; All‑India‑quota (15%): register for MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)‑all‑India‑counselling.

Step 4: Seat allotment & document verification: After choice‑filling, if your NEET‑UG rank matches the cutoff for RGMC Thane, a seat is allotted in the required round. Report to the college with original documents (NEET admit card, NEET scorecard, 10th/12th certificates, ID, domicile, caste/PwD certificates, etc.).

Step 5: Pay fee & join: Pay the college fee (often via demand‑draft or as per instruction manual) and complete admission‑formalities; the college issues a joining letter after 2–3 days of verification.

MD/MS (PG) for Admission Process

Step 1: Eligibility: MBBS degree from an NMC‑recognised university with required minimum marks and completion of 1‑year internship by 31 March.

Step 2: Qualify NEET‑PG: Appear in NEET‑PG; admission is based on NEET‑PG rank.

Step 3: Participate in counselling: Join Maharashtra‑state‑counselling for state‑quota and in‑service‑quota PG seats; central‑quota seats are handled by MCC‑type rounds.
Step 4: College‑level joining: When allotted a PG‑seat at RGMC Thane, follow the college‑issued PG‑admission‑manual: print and fill application/Holding‑certificate, submit all original documents, pay fees via DD, and await the joining‑letter after verification.
