SMS Varanasi has a Training and Placement Cell, which is a dedicated proactive unit that focuses on bridging the gap between students and industry. It works year-round to ensure strong employability outcomes, especially for its flagshipprograms. The cell emphasises skill development, industry exposure, and consistent placement drives. 

Key Functions and Activities:

• It offers Pre-Placement Training through its Employability Enhancement Programme, covering aptitude tests, soft skills, communication, resume building, mock interviews, group discussion, and personality development. 
• It organises mandatory 6-8 week summer internships post-second semester and gradually adds more companies for training opportunities.
• The cell invites more than 50 companies annually for final placements and interactions. The process includes company presentations, aptitude rounds, GD/PI and final selections.
• The cell maintains connections with recruiters for ongoing opportunities, including off-campus drives and alumni networks.

SMS Varanasi offers several merit-based, need-based, and special category scholarships for UG and PG students. Scholarships are offered with the aim of supporting meritorious and deserving students, with limited availability, as students can only opt for one scheme.
