The Placement and Internship Cell of Shivaji College works tirelessly throughout the year to facilitate the best internships and recruitment of our bright and dynamic students. A dedicated portal for students ensures that they get updates about the various recruitment/internship drives held throughout the year. During the 2023-24 session, recruiters from domains such as Marketing, Business Development, Finance, and Human Resources offered internship and placement opportunities to students. Serving as a connection between companies and students, the Placement and Internship Cell ensures that premier recruiters from diverse sectors provide placement and internship opportunities to the students. Some of the corporate recruiters who have sought out our students include Google, Accenture, Apple, Amazon, Deloitte, Wipro, Paytm, Tata, Zomato, EY, NIIT, Reliance, KPMG, etc. 

In order to enhance the knowledge base and skillsets of the students, the Placement and Internship Cell also conducts seminars and workshops on various topics like Soft & Core Skills for employment and future career options in India and abroad. The Placement and Internship Cell is happy to share that the salary offered to students has been steadily increasing over the years. The highest package offered to students to date was INR 24 LPA, and the average package offered was INR 6 LPA. 

Key Activities and Initiatives of Placement Cell:

• Regular drives for internships and full-time jobs.
• Organising ‘Crescita’, an annual placement and internship fair with multiple companies participating.
• Workshops, Seminars, and Training Sessions on skill-building programs like career counselling, digital marketing, Tableau, resume building, interview preparation, etc. 
• Guest Lecture and Talks by industry experts and alumni that share experiences to prepare students for the job market. 

The Shivaji College offers various kinds of scholarships to support meritorious students and those who lack financial resources. To be eligible it is required to fulfil some requirements. 

List of Scholarships is mentioned below:

• Prof. Anil Krishan Aggarwal Meritorious Award - This scholarship will be awarded annually to the Topper student of the B.Sc (H) Chemistry final year.
• Rabinarayan Samantara Merit-based Award - This scholarship will be awarded annually to the B.Com (Hons.) final-year topper.
• Satya Pal Bansal Memorial Scholarship - It is awarded to the best student of B.A. (Programme) Ist year.
• Sultan Chand Dropadi Devi Education Foundation (Dr. Miss Usha Aggarwal) - It is awarded to the student of B.Com (H) III year who secures the second highest percentage of marks (above 70% in aggregate) in the college, in B.Com (H) II year.
• Prof. Ramesh Gautam Smriti Udgeet Puruskar - Topper students of all three streams science Arts and Commerce.
• Dr. Usha Aggarwal Trust - The scholarship is awarded to students of B.Com Prog. IInd & IIIrd year who secure the highest % of marks, being above 70% in B.Com (Prog.) Ist & IInd yr. Result.
• Sultan Chand Dropadi Devi Education Foundation (Dr. Miss Usha Aggarwal) - It is awarded to a student who secured the highest % of marks in all the papers in the college in B.Com (H) Ist Sem Univ. Exam. Scholarship of Rs. 2500/- is given.
• Dr. S. K. Nayyar Memorial Scholarship - One Scholarship of Rs. 3600/- is given to a student based on the result of B.Com (H) 4th Semester under the New Revised Syllabus.
• Mrs. Savita Mishra Memorial Award - Given to a girl student of B.Sc.(H) Mathematics, who gets the highest marks till her 6th Semester of Undergraduate Degree Course.
• Scholarship by Ms. Santosh Duggal in memory of her parents - The Toppers of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students for the B.A. (H) Political Science.
• Dr. Sarvesh Kumar Dubey Cash Prize - Awarded to student who secured the highest % of marks, in all the papers in the college in M.A. Hindi Final Year Exam.
• Shankar Majumdar in memory of his Uncle Late Dr. R.M. Pal and his elder brother, Late Shri N.C. Majumdar - One Scholarship given to a student of B.A. (H) Histor,y Final year, who gets highest marks till her 6th Semester of Undergraduate Degree Course.
• Sunil-Bhai Ravi Scholarship - One Scholarship of B.A. (H) History Final year, who secured maximum marks in his/her graduation.
