For Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (SRMC&RI), the admission process and eligibility are aligned with the deemed‑university and NMC framework.

Eligibility Criteria

MBBS Eligibility Criteria:

• 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognised board, usually with minimum 50% aggregate (40–45% for reserved categories, as per current NMC norms).

• Valid NEET‑UG score and meeting the NMC‑prescribed percentile cut‑off for the category and quota.

PG (MD/MS, DM/MCh):

• MBBS degree from an NMC‑recognised university with minimum qualifying marks (often 50% aggregate, 40–45% for reserved categories).

• Completed or ongoing compulsory rotating internship and provisional/permanent registration with the Medical Council.

• For PG, NEET‑PG or NEET‑SS score with admission through DGHS‑MCC counselling and subsequent document‑verification at the campus.

Admission Process for Both MBBS and MD/MS programs 

MBBS Admission Process 

1. Appear for NEET‑UG and obtain the required percentile.

2. Register for central NEET‑UG counselling (MCC/DGHS, or state‑wise if applicable) and choose Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute, SRIHER, Porur, Chennai in the preference list.

3. After seat allotment, visit the college with NEET‑UG scorecard, 10th/12th/MBBS‑equivalent proof, category‑certificates, and passport‑size photographs for document‑verification and admission‑confirmation.

4. Pay the seat‑acceptance fee and tuition as per the official‑year brochure and complete joining formalities.

PG (MD/MS, DM/MCh, super-speciality, and allied‑health courses):

6. Participate in central counselling, fill SRIHER/SRMC&RI as your preferred institute, and accept the allotment letter.

8. After successful verification and fee‑payment, complete hostel, identity card, and orientation formalities to join the academic batch.
