Sri Venkateswara College has one of the most active and efficient Placement Cells among Delhi University Colleges. It has the motive of bridging the gap between academia and the industry. The cell is student-driven with faculty oversight and has consistently achieved high placement rates. As per reports, the average placement offered to students in recent placements was INR 5.43 and the highest package offered is INR 13 LPA.

Key activities of the Placement Cell:

• It organises on-campus recruitment drives by inviting top leading companies for full-time job placements and pre-placement offers (PPOs). It manages the entire process, including company invitations, technical/personal interviews, and final selections.
• The placement cell organises a major annual internship fair ‘NEXUS’, which attracts numerous companies offering paid internships in different sectors like consulting, IT, finance, marketing, research, and NGOs. 
• The placement cell organises frequent guest lectures, career guidance sessions, and industry expert interaction,s which cover topics like emerging trends, corporate culture, higher studies abroad, entrepreneurship, and competitive exams. 
• One-on-one counselling is provided to students for resume vetting, career path selection, and preparation for interviews. 
• The placement cell even encourages registration with Delhi University’s Central Placement Cell (CPC) for additional opportunities. 

• Sri Venkateswara College offers both Scholarships and Freeships to its students to support them financially and to award deserving students. Meritorious and economically weaker section students are the one who gets benefit from these programmes.

• Freeships: The Free Ship and Students Aid Committee aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students in the form of partial reimbursement of fees paid by the students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses from the college.

• Scholarships: 
• Sultan Chand Trust Scholarships (Cash) – For B.Com (Hons) students with ≥75% marks, ₹375/month for I and II Year. 
• Bharatula Savitri Memorial Prize (Cash) – For highest scorers in Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, etc. in the final and second year. 
• Nellabhatla Venkata Subrahmanya Memorial Prize (Cash) – For final year toppers in Botany and Zoology (Hons). 
• Dr. D. Dwaraka Das Memorial Award (Cash) – For Political Science (Hons) toppers in I Year and final year
• Merit Scholarships to SC/ST/OBC/Minorities – Provided by the Government. Students can apply through the Ministry or the college office. 
• Post-Matric Scholarships – For SC/ST/OBC/Minority UG students. Applications are invited annually by the Department of Higher Education. 
• PG Merit Scholarship for UG Rank Holders – ₹2000/month for 2 years to UG rank holders pursuing PG, based on minimum 60% in Honours and 1st rank merit.
•  Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship – ₹2000/month PG scholarship for single girl children admitted to 1st year of PG. 
• Late Mrs Velagaletty Chandumati Memorial Prize (Cash) – For Biochemistry (Hons) topper at III Year University exam. 
• Dr V. Krishna Moorthy Memorial Prize (Cash) – For top scorers in Tamil, Telugu, and Sanskrit (B.A. Prog) in B.Com/B.A. III Year
