St. George College Admission Process

The admission process is straightforward and primarily merit-based. designed to be accessible. The college does not conduct its own entrance exams for most programs. Admissions for the 2025-2026 academic year are currently open. General Admission Criteria and Eligibility 

 

  • Undergraduate (UG) Programs (BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Sc Life Sciences, BA Journalism): Completion of 10+2 (PUC or equivalent) from a recognized board. Minimum aggregate marks: Typically 45-50% (relaxation for reserved categories as per government norms).
  • Specific requirements: For science/nursing-related courses, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) may be mandatory.
  • B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing / GNM: Passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (PCBE).Minimum 45-50% aggregate in PCBE (as per INC/KNC guidelines; stricter for nursing).
  • Postgraduate (PG) Programs (MBA, M.Sc): Passed an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university. Minimum 50% aggregate (relaxation for reserved categories). Applicants awaiting final results can also apply (provisional admission, subject to submitting marks later).
  • The selection process is primarily based on Merit and on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2 for UG, graduation for PG).

 

Entrance Exams:

  • Most UG Programs (including Nursing): No entrance exam required; direct merit admission.
  • MBA: Accepts scores from state/national-level exams such as Karnataka PGCET, KMAT, CAT, MAT, or CMAT. Merit list prepared based on exam scores + academic performance.
  • Interview/Personal Interaction: Possible for certain programs (MBA or Nursing) as a final step to assess suitability, communication skills, etc. Not mandatory for all.
  • No group discussions or additional tests are mentioned for most courses.
  • The final selection is based on merit, availability of seats, and document verification.

  • The admission process is Online or Offline.
  • Go to the official website of the college first. 
  • Fill and submit offline (by post/hand) or inquire about online submission options.
  • For prospectus + application form by post: Send ₹500 Bank Draft in favor of "St. George College of Management & Science" payable at Bangalore.
  • Submit with required documents (marks sheets, certificates, photo)

Application fee: Varies (included in prospectus or separate; confirm via contact).
