Thoothukudi Medical College Thoothukudi Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Thoothukudi Medical College (TKMC) follows a centralised, NEET-based admission process for MBBS and PG courses managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota and Tamil Nadu DME for state quota.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS and PG Courses 

• For MBBS: Minimum 17 years of age by Dec 31, 10+2 with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (40% for reserved categories), and qualified NEET-UG score.

• For PG: MBBS degree, completed CRRI internship by cutoff, NMC registration, and qualified NEET-PG score.

Online Admission Process at TKMC:-

1. Qualify NEET-UG (May) or NEET-PG (Aug); check results on NTA site.

2. Register on (AIQ 15% UG/50% PG) or (state quota) post-results (June/July).

3. Fill choices including TKMC, lock preferences, and attend virtual counselling rounds (3-4, including mop-up/stray vacancy).

4. Seat allotment based on rank, category, and choices; download allotment letter.

5. Report to TKMC within 1-2 days with documents for verification, pay fees (MBBS INR 4,500-INR 13,000 govt quota; PG INR 26,000).
