Top Exam Preparation Tips to get a high score in the CLAT 2026 examination.

  • Applicants can start with Concept Clarity and Focus on strengthening fundamentals, especially in Reading comprehension, Logical puzzles, Legal reasoning basics and Data interpretation.

  • Read Newspapers Daily for latest updates and news related to Current Affairs & Legal Awareness. One of the best and highly demanding newspaper are The Hindu, Indian Express and LiveLaw (for legal updates).

  • Reading daily improves GK, vocabulary, and comprehension speed. Practice Mock Tests Regularly, Attempt at least 1 mock test per week (later 3–4/week). Analyse mistakes, accuracy matters more than attempts.

  • Build a Strong Vocabulary- Learn 10–15 new words daily. Target areas are synonyms, antonyms, idioms, phrases, and RC-based vocabulary. Prioritise Legal Reasoning. This is the highest-scoring section. Focus on understanding principles, applying them to cases, and avoiding prior legal knowledge; CLAT tests logic, not law memory.

Practice Speed + Accuracy Together- CLAT is time-tight. Practice solving RC passages, puzzles, and tables under a timer. Revise GK Monthly and make notes for:-

  • National & international events
  • Government schemes
  • Judiciary updates
  • Awards, appointments, sports, and science
